My husband gave me this beautiful, orange velvet pen box from The Vatican several years ago. My friend Joe gave me the seashell from the coast of South Africa. Perfume bottle was my contribution.

Every year for my birthday, my father and his wife send me beautiful flowers and this year was no exception. I had to scale down the composition quite a bit since I was painting quickly, alla prima. What joy to paint flowers!

“Galisteo Basin” Landscape

Here’s a painting done mostly on location. The Galisteo Basin is only 10 minutes from my studio. Below the mountain is the small village of Lamy, NM, where the Amtrak train stops at the old station. There’s a shuttle into town, so if you are ever traveling to Santa Fe, be sure to look into Amtrak for an adventure.
