This was a bit of an experiment to tell you the truth. After an underpainting in grays, I layered thin opaque paint and colored glazes on top. The darks got a bit too dark though. It still turned out beautifully and I learned what not to do in the future. Experiment, experiment and take notes!
Spring irises are so full of vibrant color! I paired them with my grandmothers little jug because it’s so fun to paint objects with some personal memories attached.
